Description

I'm a resident of 23 Hardwick St since 2011. The construction at 14 Hardwick St has fed me up. As it currently stands, the no parking signs expired weeks go AND not only are there non-Cambridge cones deployed in front with expired signs, there is a tractor trailer parked in front of 9 Hardwick with no permits or signage.

This happened once before a month ago when 14 Hardwick St has Dumpster permits that expired and a dumpster was still present.

Is this a City of Cambridge problem or a 14 Hardwick Renovation problem? Either way, somebody needs to be fined as the rules aren't being followed. With the current parking crunch due to One Kendall Plaza construction removing Cardinal Medeiros, the Donnelly Field project removing parking, AND the remnants of the Berkshire fire -- the residents of our area deserve to have as much available parking as possible.

It appears to me that 14 Hardwick St is either shirking the rules OR the City of Cambridge is delinquent on posting signs. I move to an immediate reconciliation with ticketing, towing, or fining of the current vehicles OR the CoC putting current signs and acknowledging their delinquency. Either way, since the original hearing for 14 Hardwick St did not include this long timeline of parking space removal for dumpsters and flatbed trailers -- I also move for an additional hearing.

Rules and regulations exist for citizens of Cambridge. I'd like to know who is accountable for the MULTIPLE days over the past 5 weeks that the signage and actual circumstances have not been matched.

Sincerely,
Deepak Mishra
