The short term parking that take places outside the entrance of Quincy Center station on Burgin Parkway seriously impedes the flow of traffic. Drivers are either stopping in the right lane of traffic to allow passengers to exit, or they illegally park in the bus area. Additionally, even when the bus area appears free and clear of illegally park cars, shuttle buses from area residential complexes and business as well as the MBTA buses stop in the right lane of travel on the parkway oppose to pulling into that area that is specifically marked as a bus area.
