Inspector I33 on site visit for construction without permit. Upon arrival I33 noticed construction going a rear addition was being added. Owner stated over the phone that there was a rear patio but was falling, he had to demo patio and built addition himself for his kids, did not know a permit was needed if he did the work. I33 explained that a permit is needed. I33 noticed addition was attached to resident, foundation was built on blocks and plumbing was installed. I33 told owner that they can secure property to prevent damage to structures. 1st red tag notice to obtain required permits for unpermitted structural and plumbing was posted. Follow up scheduled.
