Thank you for reporting this issue. A Code/Parking Officer for this area will investigate. The Officer has to observe the violation in order to address it. If general parking issues happen after 5:00pm on weekdays or any time on weekends, please call the CSPD non-emergency number at 979.764.3600 and an officer will be dispatched to investigate the issue. Updates will be posted here.
Folks - call the police non-emergency line 764-3600 when this happens. I do this often and the police are there in 10 minutes usually. The code enforcement folks can't handle something like this. The police do write tickets that tend to get noticed by the perpetrators.
Good morning. Thank you for looking after this. As of 8:04am this morning, I witnessed multiple violations of penal code TRANSP § 545.302, section (b):
(2) within 15 feet of a fire hydrant;
(3) within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection;
(4) within 30 feet on the approach to a flashing signal, stop sign, yield sign, or traffic-control signal located at the side of a roadway;
There were two cars parked in front of the fire hydrant on the 1500 block of Stallings Dr. In addition, there were cars on either side of the intersection of Stallings and Dominick that were parked within 20 feet of the intersection. Finally, there were cars at the corner of Dominick and Munson that were right against the intersection and within 30 feet of the stop sign.
I appreciate you tending to this, as this area gets extremely congested during rush week and every Monday night during the school year. You may want to consider having someone from Parking Enforcement visit each sorority and fraternity in that area to explain parking code.
