Word from Traffic & Parking is that once the new signals are finished on Fountain St. (at Central, Alden and McKinley), the flashing yellow at Whalley will convert to a regular signal and the crosswalk there will become operational again. Workers have already installed the missing pedestrian signal on the south side of Fountain, though the crosswalk there still needs to be restriped. Some signal work is being done at Fountain and Central today so hopefully they will be done soon and this area of the Village will become safer for both drivers and pedestrians.
