The timing on the light at Lake Shore Road and Beverwyck should be changed to accommodate the cars trying to turn left onto Vail Road from Beverwyck Road heading north. When the light turns green, all the cars that are waiting at the red light on Beverwyck heading south go first. When that clears maybe one car can turn onto Vail during that break in the flow of traffic before a surge of cars comes up and over the hill from Lake Hiawatha making it impossible to ever turn onto Vail. Either a turn signal, or retiming of the Lake Shore Drive light would help. If the second surge of cars were not immediately coming, cars could turn left once the first batch of traffic goes.
