In the future, if you see a traffic signal malfunction, a damaged stop sign or a damaged one-way sign, the department strongly encourages you to telephone the City. Call us at (203) 946-8075 during normal working hours and please call the New Haven Police Department (203) 946-6316 at other times. Please provide clear and accurate information in order to assist the response team. If this is an issue related to a traffic signal, please refer to this matter as a "traffic signal" not "traffic light", as the words "traffic light" can be easily interpreted as "street light" or "street lamp".
