Description
For over a year, One Condominium construction personnel and local businesses use the Public "A" parking area Monday through Friday from 8am until 4pm preventing tax payers parking access to Demens Landing. Have reported to Demens Landing Office, City of St Pete Parking and Rick Kriseman's Office without a response. These are the same vehicles that park every weekday, all day in parking reserved for park users. They need to park in paid areas of the empty parking garages and dolphin pier parking or pay for street parking like all other downtown non-resident visitors.

Jay,
As the Parking Manager for the City of St. Petersburg, I was directed to respond to your issue with the Zone A parking in the Demen's Landing Park. I did check with our parking division and they were not aware of your concern, so I apologize that we were not able to get to you sooner. I have been in contact with both the manager of the Marina/Port and the manager of Parks and Recreation. Both have agreed that the concern of all day parking in the park needs to be addressed as quickly as possible. I will be requesting a 2 hour limit in the Zone A parking that you have described and shown in your picture. Transportation and Parking will be installing 2 hour limit signs and markings as needed. The Parking Enforcement Officers will start enforcing the signs with warnings first and then eventually official parking tickets. I hope to have this done as soon as possible. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate in contacting me at 551-3120.
