Description

A car swerved to avoid a van that was pulling in to park in the bike lane (the wrong direction of travel). The parking van opened its door and the car swerved into the bike lane on the other side of the road and almost hit me HEAD ON this morning at about 30MPH. I was within inches of a really bad accident -- flesh, bones, all of it -- in the street.

There are a lot of things wrong with this picture -- cars parking on the wrong side of the road, cars parking in the bike lane, and cars disregarding the markings on the roadway.
