Description
The traffic light at this intersection is on a timer instead of traffic sensors, leaving vehicles wasting time, money and fuel unnecessarily, especially at off hours with low traffic flow.
I reported this last fall and they said they were waiting for better weather to repair it. It is almost June, the weather looks fine to me now, when will it be repaired?

Besides wasting our time and fuel, it is getting to be a dangerous intersection in the off hours.
I have seen some people ignoring the light and driving through it red.

It would be interesting to have a study done to see how much time & fuel is wasted at this one light over the course of a week. I would bet it averages out to more than 1 min of unnecessary idle time for 3 out of 4 vehicles. Not much per vehicle but I would also guess there are more than 10,000 vehicles through this light per day.

I will do as everyone else does;
when there is no traffic,
stop,
look all ways and go.

It looks like this will never be repaired! The State, County, City of Albany, whoever this problem belongs to, they are not reading this (or they are ignoring it).
This light, and the one between Dunkin Doughnuts & U Albany waists time & fuel because they are not using vehicle sensors to make traffic flow more efficient. This has been a problem for over a year, and still is, (and probably will remain to be)!
As with all government, it is easier and cheaper for the highway departments to ignore the people even if it would save time and money for us.
