It wouldn't have made sense to repave Sachem before last fall, when it was torn up to replace the utilities. I expect it will be repaved this summer. I agree on the sharrows, which is why we included them in the 2010 Bike Plan (elmcitycycling.org).
The new curb cut and bike path signs are pretty sweet, aren't they? I believe the path is even included on Google Maps now.
I think they got the bicycle and pedestrian warning signs reversed in the eastbound direction on Sachem, but that's no big deal in my opinion.

Bruce Alexander & Mike Piscitelli both said this would be fixed over a year ago. Hopefully it's getting better.
Ideally it would be a smooth surface with sharrows.
