This is a HUGE problem for walkers at this location. To be honest, this entire intersection is one of the most dangerous intersections in WDC for both cars and pedestrians. Light running, cars stopped in the middle of the intersection, cars making U-Turns, cars turning on Red when signs say "No Turn on Red", cars illegally parked, and cars double parked are a massive problem here.

The small Safeway pull over on the side of the store only adds to the street clustering of cars.

How anyone thinks a pedestrian can safely cross 4 lanes of traffic in 20 seconds is beyond understanding.

This intersection is a severe situation about to unfold.
