Having walked from Westville to the YNHH neighborhood and back and then watched the progress of clean up in this neighborhood, I want to thank the City of New Haven and the DOT for a remarkable effort. I know that there is still much to do and many people working with limited equipment. Those who are putting in the long hours and effort are deeply appreciated!

There are many City trucks out plowing right now and neighbors are marking their issues fixed. Also, there are just as many people upset in the burbs if you look at SeeClickFix. I can do a data dump tomorrow for you to look at number of complaints by hour by town.

George: Ben is right. I have 5 friends throughout Hamden who haven't been able to leave their house in days. They absolutely do not see Hamden as some idyllic plow heaven.
Honestly consider the sheer amount of money it would take, EVERY year, to have the infrastructure that would make clearing this snow in 3 days or less feasible: this is a 1 in a 100 years storm. It makes no sense for the city to pay the ongoing fees and costs to maintain the level of infrastructure they would need to make you happy right now.
