Seems to me the Locust resident demands extraordinary service from our lowest-bidder trash collector. The Borough has guidelines for setting out trash which includes (1) placing loose trash in bagged receptacles to prevent pieces dropping on the street during collection (previous complaint) and (2) reschedule days for holidays and inclement weather. If the company can't get both trash and recyclables collected during a combined holiday and snow-day week, I think the lapse is reasonable. I remember the prior collector, Republic, throwing recyclables in with the trash to save a second, separate run when behind schedule or short staffed. They charged almost a quarter million dollars more for the contract and took shortcuts with State law. Is that what the complaintant prefers?

The recycles will be picked today Monday 1-8-18.
It was not picked up due to the weather.
