Click Fix IS about the city of Salem. Yet, blocked posts are now not so unusual.
Is it because Salem residents can only comment on something needing to be 'fixed' physically, rather than the repair that is needed re Salem remaining a real residents' community - vs 'the hip hub of the North Shore' (our mayor's words)?
The 'boutiquing' of Salem is all around you. Check out shop price points, etc. How many more restaurants do we need, vs real businesses which the local community can & will support?
Not everyone who lives here is a tourist, millennial, or a commuter traveling back & forth to Boston, just so they can live in this hip hub. Rents are pricing local folks out.
Even the new community/senior center bldg project was left 'waiting', until a short time before the election, when ground was broken so we all could see 'something' was being done.
