Driveway alligatoring even before i closed on the house. Specifically put in the closing documents that the spalling driveway must be repaired, but i would not accept visible cold joints in the pavement. Builder applied patch, patch is now failing.
SHE requires 1.5" top coat with 4" base. I have neither. Plus the soil is high in clay which would require more base. Driveway is of poor workmanship. An anne arundel inspector advised me that the builder used the wrong culvert pipe. Not sure why it is wrong, but i can say it is not wide enough. That is why the driveway is falling apart at the culvert.
