As our Landscape Department has mentioned before, this area is marked as a maintenance route that is ran by the Sparkle Team, as well as inmate labor, on a regular basis. We encourage you to reach out to Operation Green Team at 256-532-5326 and inquire about volunteer opportunities to assist in their efforts to keep the area litter free. Thank you

I have contacted Green team. I have multiple orange vests, trash bags, trash pickup claws. I have walked the road many times...but simply can not keep up with it. As soon as it is cleaned up, it is back to being covered in litter a week later. What we need is more enforcement of littering fines in this area. Most of the littering takes place in the early morning and late evening. People that live in the apartments on Zierdt and some kids in Triana are the ones I have personally seen disposing of trash from their moving vehicles. I am sick of it!

Right now the litter seems to be the worst in front of Mountain Brook and Edgewater and that part of Zierdt Road is in Madison and they apparently do not monitor SeeClickFix.

If you ever see them disposing trash from their moving vehicles please get tag number, vehicle description, what was thrown out, time of incident and location. If you call that in to 53CLEAN(256-532-5326) We can make sure Huntsville Police Department makes contact with the violators.
