Description

Thank you to the DPW for your prompt response to street parking concerns on Flynn Avenue by putting up "No Parking" signs within 80 feet of the driveway for 208 Flynn Avenue. Visibility has greatly improved. However, I am requesting that the DPW evaluate whether Flynn Avenue can feasibly accommodate parallel parking on both sides of the road between the intersections of Pine Street and Briggs Street. Due to the significant increase in street parking along Flynn Avenue since the opening of City Market, there is simply not enough room for 2 way traffic to safely pass. I have routinely experienced stopped traffic in one direction while other cars, delivery trucks, or 18-wheeler tank trucks pass, or cars nearly hitting oncoming traffic while attempting to proceed with what is supposed to be a 2 lane road. Thank you for your consideration and continued prompt attention to this safety concern.
