Description

A new large illegal encampment structure made of highly flammable plywood and plastic sheeting has been under construction yesterday and today in the same sidewalk-blocking location on the south side of 28th Street as a similar structure that burned to the ground on 1/19/2018. That fire endangered adjacent homes and businesses and required considerable city cleanup and decontamination. The structure is also incorporating other dumped materials like the filing cabinet that the city has failed to remove. The city must act immediately to remove this imminent fire hazard.
