The city arborist is Michael Mather, but I don't have a phone number for him.

These are (my trees) the trees in front of my house. I have battled for 11 years to keep them alive. I may have lost with this last "trimming". I'm sick about it.
I will contact Mike and PennLine. But for these trees the damage is done.

Several along broad st look like they have been cut to where they also will die. If the city wants these trees gone why don't they just cut them down instead of wasting time and money "trimming," picking up dead limbs that then fall on cars, and finally removing them a year later. I certainly hope the city is planning to replace all these trees that the contractors have killed.

2/27/2013 Thanks so much for sharing your very important concerns with Richmond City government. Richmond Tree Mgmt noted they have received several complaints about this work being done by a contractor hired by VA Dominion Power. A City Arborist went out to this location on Tuesday, Feb 19th, 2013 to assess this situation and made contact with Dominion Power and the foreman for the Pennline contractor. Richmond Tree Management has asked Dominion and their contractors to be less aggressive in pruning the trees that impact power lines
