Storm Debris Cleanup Update from March 7-8, 2018 Nor’easter– Concord Public Works (CPW) crews are continuing to address the removal and pickup of downed public shade trees and storm debris originating within the public right of way from the March 7-8 storm event.
CPW advises that if the tree debris originated from a public shade tree located in the public right of way and fell on private or public property, over the next several months public works crews will be collecting this debris. If the tree is a private tree and debris from private property is placed in the ROW for collection it will not be eligible for pickup as public works resources are not in place to handle private tree debris removal. Public Works will however plan on keeping the compost site at 755 Walden Street open for residential brush drop-off this Saturday March 24th and Saturday March 31st from 9-3, with brush drop-off fees waived. The compost site opens on its regular schedule on April 7th.
Concord Public Works expresses their appreciation to the public for their understanding and patience during this post storm cleanup effort.
