I live right across the street from 322 Pearl. The owners of 322 have removed the snow in front of their house immediately after the end of the storm. The sidewalk pictured belongs to the house next door at 316 Pearl St. No one has lived in this house (316 Pearl) for over 10 years, it is semi condemned by the City and they owe hundreds of thousands in taxes. Good luck getting anyone to remove the snow or pay any ticket issued.
Sorry about getting the address wrong. I made the mistake of letting the app fill it in automatically, though I did write down the correct address in the comments.
As for the condition of the house: I think it's a disgrace to the neighborhood. I'm sad every time I walk by. I don't understand why the City doesn't do anything about it.
I do find sometimes the app does put in the wrong address, a sight flaw to an otherwise great and helpful app. I just didn't want my good neighbors blamed. The house (316) is a disgrace. All the neighbors feel it is a very unsafe and scary property. Last summer there was a group of college aged people that broke into it. There is a huge hole in the flat roof in the back. After the fire that took many residents of East Cambridge, we are all concerned that could happen here. I wonder how long or how much money needs to be owed before the City finally does something about it and take it back?????? There have been so many people so interested in trying to purchase it. Unfortunately, the house has a high number of people that claim some portion of ownership, as a result of the house not being probated since the 1920's or 1930"s. Again, I agree the house is such a DISGRACE!!!
Thank you for reporting this issue to us. We have been out inspecting last week, but not over the weekend. Hopefully the warm weather has cleared up issue, if not please feel free to reopen
