Description
We need a four way stop at this intersection. People driving down 10th ave feel they have the right a way and do not stop whether cars are coming down 10th and have the right a way, or they've edged up to the intersection and clearly have the right a way. This is becoming quite a dangerous intersection and needs to be controlled better. Than you

Message from Traffic Engineer:
Thanks for writing in with your concerns. In reviewing collision history at this intersection over the last 5 years, there has been only one reported non-injury collision. This is quite low in terms of overall collision history and good in the sense that there have been no reported injury collisions. The typical safety related criteria for all-way stop sign installation is 5 or more crashes related to “failure to yield right of way” in a 3 year period, or 3 collisions in a 2 year period. This intersection does not meet either of these criteria. In addition, stop signs are not intended to be utilized in combination with traffic circles (although there are some instances of this). Based on the collision history, it seems the traffic circle is performing as intended, lowering entry speeds into the intersection to reduce or eliminate injury collisions. At this time, for the reasons described, all way stop control will not be implemented at this intersection.
