Q. Please describe the sidewalk issue using the box below.
A. Sidewalk was resurfaced a year ago, and I reported this issue then. Homeowner clearly did not file with Historic, or else ignored them. The scoring is wrong, the color isn’t according to HP, and worse, when they dug up the tree pit and widened, which is great for the tree, they piled the dirt and rubble around the tree in the newly enlarged pit. Neither great for the tree nor for the neighborhood. Pleas finally address this.

I originally requested that this be reviewed by HPC. The owner didn’t file any kind of permit to do the work, and piled the rubble into the tree bed. The sidewalk was done with no regard to historic requirements. The tree bed was enlarged, and the stones and dirt from the hole we’re simply shoveled into the tree bed, which also broke and half covered the grate around the tree.
What is so difficult to see about this being wrong? This is a historic district, and when I repa Ed my sidewalk, I not only had to to use a specific color, but had to place the score lines in a way consistent with the rest of the block.
How is any of this OK?

Resident did zero. A neighbor planted it as best as he could.
