why is east-bound E 7th St squeezed down to 1 lane between Mounds Blvd and Kittson? The barricades have been in place to block off the right lane beginning on the bridge over the railroad tracks, past Payne Ave, nearly to Mounds Blvd for more than a week, yet absolutely nothing is going on that would require the east-bound lanes to be squeezed down. The drive from Lafayette to Mounds should not take 15-20 minutes during rush hour...but it does now that the lane is blocked off. The City is paying rent on the barricades yet they are not protecting anyone from anything....
