Description
Secondary business operating from this location with stacks of hundreds of crab pots. Pots are stacked over a story tall & unsafely higher than fence surrounding business property, an eyesore & obstructing water view. Contacted business owners on May 13, 2018 via instant messaging on Facebook & request pots be removed from area &/or not stacked as high. During conversation on May 13th, business owners stated pots would be removed from area within two weeks. Contacted business owners again on June 2nd, as pots continue to be in same location. Received negative response in addition to being told the pots will be "gone when they are gone." Pots could easily tumble from stacks over fence, injuring persons or creating traffic issues, as well as obstructing historically visible water view from several homes across from 208 Bar Harbor. Providing picture of pots. Copy of instant messaging conversation via Facebook with secondary business owners & photographs documenting historical water view upon request.

Thank you for your quick response to my concerns.
However, I believe the issue has more to do with zoning enforcement, as well as a potential traffic issue.
Thanks again & I will be following up with Constituent Services.

Safety issue: crab pots are higher than fence & with high winds are projectiles potentially hitting people, children or cars on Bar Harbor road.
Zoning: crab pots are stacked higher than property fence at 208 Bar Harbor Rd., blocking tax payers historic water views.
Previously attempted to discuss issue with crab pot owner. Unfortunately, this conversation was not successful as owner does not appear to respect the long term home owners in the community as evidenced by response in transcript of conversation.

I can't imagine AACO Zoning & Planning office has forgotten Bar Harbor Road in Pasadena.
I know my late father, Gordon "Mickey" Babington, received a lot of correspondence from AACC Zoning & Planning in the form of zoning citations. Citations that were due to complaints from the neighbors on Bar Harbor Road.
I still remember how often my father received citations from AACO Zoning & Planning. And how persistent safety enforcement use to be in AACC since one citation was issued to my father 6 months after his death. Based upon previous interactions with Zoning & Planning it's strange that this complaint has been open for over 6 months without notice of investigation. I’d hate to assume that AACO Zoning & Planning only investigates complaints by business owners and/or bases priority of investigations by campaign contributions
Most importantly, I would hate for anyone, especially a child walking to school, to be injured by a falling crab pot because the pots were stacked way too high near to a county supervised roadway & improperly secured during inclement weather.
