Please Update: Issue hasn't been resolved. In the AM (@06:00) Crosswalk button (NE Corner) will work some times (not consistently). In the PM (@15:00), the button (NW Corner) doesn't respond at all.

When you say the button doesn't work at all do you mean the walk signal never comes on? Be aware that during the day the signals are on a coordinated cycle so it may be up to 2-1/2 minutes before the signal changes after pushing the button.

21/2 Minutes is a long time to get a response to gain a break to legally cross in between cycles. Periodically in the AM it immediately gave the signal to cross legally, it should allow the same in the afternoon as it once did prior to the new cycles created.

The signal is on a fixed cycle throughout the day to efficiently manage traffic flow. If the pedestrian happens to push the button when Perimeter Center Parkway is about to turn red then the wait time will be very short. If the pedestrian arrives when Perimeter Center Parkway has just turned green then the wait time will be close to 2-1/2 minutes. It is not practical during the daytime to have the light change immediately every time the button is pushed.
