Thank you for your comment. I looked at this area of road near 4425 S and Mountain View Corridor and I wasn't able to find an existing no engine brake sign or a Traffic Engineering Order (TEO). A TEO makes it law so an officer can ticket someone who violates what is printed on the sign.
If you are wanting a new sign to be put up then we can do that, but before we can do that there a few things that need to happen.
1. The local government/city needs to pass an ordinance stating that engine brakes are not allowed on this section of road.
2. UDOT would need written confirmation of this and also confirmation that they will enforce the ordinance.
3. We will then write up the TEO and start getting the signatures that are needed to make it enforceable. This can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to about a month.
4. We will then order the base, post and sign and have our sign crew put up the signs.
