Agreed, it not only causes traffic but is dangerous

I commute by bike to medical center this way. It forces me to change lane to the middle lane. Dangerous but I have no choice.

There is plenty of off-street parking in the area. There's no good reason to allow people to block a traffic lane in this location.

exactly! there is surface lots on the Mosaic side and the hermann park side, i have never seen either full during the working week. maybe they care more about rich developers and condo owners than the working people who use Almeda road.

This a major traffic problem and parking should not be allowed at the expense of creating a dangerous situation for commuters. Commercial properties should be responsible for having parking and should not expect to make use of a busy street area for a parking lot.

sorry guys, i was told nothing can be done. the mosaic petitioned the city for the parking because they won't share the parking lot on the north side with visitors. so to change this i would need to get the mosaic rep to agree to get rid of it. or petition the city. since i don't have the money or resources to chase this down through the city, the rich people win and the people who paid for the street get the shaft.

i tried to tell them because of the improvement on the road, the speed has increased and for bike riders and cars to suddenly switch lanes because of parked cars could lead to serious accident. it doesn't matter, what matters is the rich people get their parking. the rest of us don't count.

Then we need a petition signed online and send it to the city. We can ask for signature by Nextdoor app.
