The tree was trimmed to allow traffic to move freely AND the way these combined trees were left might MIGHT be a high wind/storm issue? I believe the combination of these intermingled trees - riddled with pests that killed the original tree; seemingly has allowed a few other under story trees to use as their launch pad to grow larger than usual. I believe these trees are on the city's right away - being so close to the street? Though the basic right of way has been cleared; this subject needs to be revisited.
