Waterfront activities, including parking and events follow strict requirements as set forth by our Act 250 permit with the State. Some use of the parking areas is allowed for events and our events team works hard to make sure boaters and other access is available. Often times, producers renting the park make decisions, such as scheduling the pick-up or drop off of site materials or services for the event, in a way that creates traffic/access issues in the park or parking area. In other cases weather or other unanticipated issues cause delays at the boat launch. Calling ahead to the boathouse (802) 865-3377 can help avoid any potential delays. The City does not anticipate having less events at the Waterfront or reserving all use of the parking areas at the public boat launch during events for boats.
