Description

Is the noise ordinance for the city of Bridgeport not applicable to recycling and trash pick up? Because it seems like every Monday between 2am-5am no one is able to sleep on the day that they come. For an example 07/23/2018 trash came at 3:43am making a massive amount of noise and when you finally thought they were done you hear the “beep, beep, beep” truck backing up. Recycling makes 100x more noise and comes even earlier than trash every other Monday. Some Mondays after Recycling is done with their noise fiasco at 2am soon follows the trash fiasco noises. SO I PAY A RIDICULOUS PROPERTY/CITY TAX so I am not allowed to sleep every Sunday into Monday! Just because it is Bridgeport it does not mean we don’t need the appropriate amount of sleep to function like a healthy adult the next day on our 10 hr or plus work day. How would you feel if you are not able to sleep every Sunday into Monday because of your city’s trash/Recycling noises? Happens every Monday, some worst than others. What happened to: “Chapter 8.80 - NOISE CONTROL REGULATIONS
