Probably need to drain off a little overflow from all the rain. Better to be absorbed in the alley than go down the storm sewer especially during the rainy season.

Update from the Codes Compliance Department: in order to cite the property owner for this violation, an investigator would have to witness them in the act of draining their pool into the alley. If this activity is seen again in the future, please call us at 727-893-7373 and report it immediately so that an investigator can be dispatched to the location. Thank you.

Maybe the alley drainage problem is from someone else. Maybe the city garbage trucks can drive down the middle of the alley instead of the grass. Maybe other homeowners should notice the water rushing down their driveways. Maybe the alley needs to be paved because the last time it was paved was in the 70’s. Let’s not pick on one homeowner that goes out of his way to beautify this city block.
