Description
This tanning biz has this sign daily on the sidewalk that can cause an accident. Oncoming cars that are about to enter the on ramp onto the highway might mistake this sign for an actual person in the crosswalk. It also can block a pedestrian that is actually about to enter the crosswalk since it is the same height and size as a human being.

I previously protested when this sign was on the little triangular strip of greenery between Santa Clara and the onramp.
This seems like a less harmful location, but I agree that the sign's distraction is a likely source of trouble at an already very difficult intersection.
Just glancing at the city's “Right of Way Maintenance” language, it seems to fall under the city's discretion as to whether it is deemed a nuisance and removed.
