Description
Bobalust, located at the Annex in Southcenter, hosts weekly “car-meets” on Fridays, starting at 9:30pm, in the parking lot of the Annex in Southcenter (319 Tukwila Pkwy).
Vehicles and attendees of these car-meets on the adjacent property are spilling over onto our property (100 Andover Park W). Such activities are raising concerns, including but not limited to access and safety.
It's our understanding that the “car-meets” used to occur monthly. Recently, they have become a weekly occurrence.
Attached is a photo, taken on 7/27/18 ~10:30pm). Unfortunately, it does not show the number of people up front by Bobalust and Subway.
One of our tenants at Park West Plaza reported:
“So almost every Friday Night a bunch (100’s of cars) meet next door in the IFLY parking lot. Zip around and hang out. It’s becoming a real problem for us to keep them out of our lots. Security spends almost all their time running them off the property and keeping them from taking over all the spots for our guests. TPD (Tukwila Police Department) won’t do anything unless the property owners next door request since its private property.”
“The entire front of that parking lot including grass area between Subway and the street is packed with people”
“Someone is going to get hit by a car on Andover Park West.”
