Some of the current and past leaders of South San Francisco can pat themselves on the back as the uglification of South San Francisco continues! I was on Miller this morning down by Airport Boulevard between those two huge buildings that are going up. It reminded me of driving in the financial district of San Francisco.

We need to be compensated by the city for taking our views away, They have taken most of my airport runway view, the bay view and freeway views. We all need to get together and fix this issue before its too late, and we just see tall buildings out of our windows instead of the nice view we bought our properties for. If this continues we could have a sky scraper war over here soon and that will get us more depressed in time to come. The city is walking without brains .

This is progress . Sell your house for $1.5 million to the foreign investors and move somewhere with real Americans not this foreign domnaited area .

if you keep running like that maybe you will end up in Mexico one day and there will be no real Americans left. Have to hold the city accountable for that. They are more than welcome to build underground without blocking others views.

There is no right to a view . Rich people sue over views all the time and lose or settle . If they don’t spend the money to sue they get nothing . Middle class folks don’t get a penny for lost views if they don’t have money to sue .

One way to have a claim is to set up a solar system on your house and then you can be compensated if you are impacted by reduction of your solar power generation . But basically this only applies if the y’all building is right next to you , as it will not affect buildings far away

A South San Francisco newsletter just came out and says that the Rotary Miller Avenue Senior Housing project has "a rooftop terrace and courtyard". Nice. They have taken our views and put them on a rooftop for others. Also, the houses next to this building are inches away from a concrete wall with no sun. Rude!

We already voted in November. Some of the City rulers were re-elected and some new ones were elected. Many of the prior rulers pushed through the uglification changes to the city. Lots of new buildings going up which may destroy the neighborhood fabric of the city. I wish I could afford to live somewhere in a tall tower away from all this.

I don't know why we need to attract new residents with more housing. I'd like to focus on improving the conditions for those that are already here with things like cleaner streets and sidewalks, traffic reduction, and air quality.

Maybe all the residents need to get together and sue the city for blocking the views and polluting the city and environments. I am in the process of getting a good attorney to get my dues from the city. They just can't have it their way all the time by sneaking in taller buildings here and there all the time.

Politicians use affordable housing as an excuse to build and finance personal city programs and agendas. Affordable they say, how many young adults from south city purchased this units. All the construction is for foreign investors not south city’s young adults. Lets ask the council to produce the names and origin of the lucky individuals that purchased the affordable units. Property ownership is public information, the truth will stop the hypocrisy. Its for the money not the cities future or our quality of life.

If you look at all the new construction in the city, both in construction and in development, on the construction.ssf.net website, you will not see a single improvement to traffic flow. It's all about adding more people without any firm plan on moving people around. And don't tell me that they're all going to use public transportation!
