Description
I find it dark and dim with the new L.E.D lights in my neighborhood compared to the old amber lights.
I do not feel comfortable or safe while sitting on my porch at night and or walking my dog at night (just on my block).
My alley where my garbage can is located is dark too.
I can no longer see my neighbors sitting on their porch..they cant see us either.
Once before we were able to see folks walking up and down the side walk..Now you don't see them until they are right under the light..which can startled you.
I've tried to go a couple of weeks to wait for the ajustment period..but no its still dark.
I called Duke Energy and their customer support team said it's a city issue.
Also I've driven around my neighborhood at night and notice where the LED lights are much brighter. I can name the streets if you like.
But there seems to be brighter lights or rows of lights mounted up there.
Please come and evaluate for myself and my neighbors.
Thank you,
Childs Park Neighborhood Association Member.

We agree that either poor lighting or light encroachment can be frustrating. The good news is that LED streetlights will eliminate problems in almost every case. LED streetlights offer advanced light focusing, sending light to the street where it is needed without the unwanted spread of light offsite. We believe the new LED streetlights will resolve most of the light distribution problems.

I am speaking of the NEW LED lights not the old ones.
