Description

Island in the middle of 94 is poorly maintained. and not in compliance with city codes on property maintaince.
a month or two ago it was reported to the city that it was way overgrown and again the city has let this island get way way over grown. the last time they just came in and weedeated the weeds and never properly took care of the island's landscaping. Can someone at the Mayor's Action committee please tell me why city property is not required to be maintained to the same level as citizens of St. Petersburg? If my yard looked this bad you would be fining me $500 per day untill it was corrected. maybe the salaries of the Mayor's Action committee should be docked that amount until the issue is corrected.. It would only be fair. Also since this has been a problem in the past it should be considered a "Chronic Nuisance" and if the landscaping cannot be maintained in compliance with city codes then the entire island should be concreted over to prevent the island from being over grown with weeds and dead bushes etc.

Please Review St. Petersburg's Yard Maintenance Standards
Brochure so it can be understood how landscaping should be maintained. http://www.stpete.org/code_enforcement/docs/YardMaintenance15.pdf
