Could I please ask how I can have any confidence in the announced pick-up being followed which was the problem behind this? Have they been contacted about their failures to follow. Is there any expectation on their part of what will happen if they fail to carry out their responsibility? Was there any kind of violation notice given to them for their failure?

I feel a sense of satisfaction in knowing at least that you acknowledged that I called you attention to it. However, I also feel like I am looked at like a little child that is to just be patronized until he stops bothering. I have no information as to action taken. My tax money is being spent to this company who is doing a very bad job and I don't know if they have been reprimanded, corrected, fined or what. I also don't know if I can have any confidence that the next time I follow the rules and put something out as we are supposed to do that it be picked up or left for several weeks like it was before. SOMETHING IS MISSING IN THE MANAGEMENT OF NOT ONLY THIS ISSUE WITH THE CITY BUT A GREAT MANY OTHER THINGS AND AS A RESULT I AND MY NEIGHBORS HAVE TO LIVE IN A TRASH HEAP.

Thank you for submitting this issue to the City of Detroit. This matter has been referred to Advance Disposal for investigation and resolution.

It is far too premature to close this issue. Referring it to Advance Disposal for investigation is like letting the wolf investigate the killing of chickens at the chicken koop. There should be a city agency investigate Advanced. They should be reprimanded and possibly fined. This should not be closed until I am informed of a definite resolution. I know if I were the violator it would not be passed off. I ALSO NOTE THAT IN SURROUNDING CITIES AROUND DETROIT THERE IS A FAR CLEANER AND ORDERLY CONDITION. DETROIT NEEDS TO STOP THINKING IT IS OK TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO THINGS LIKE THIS. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE DETROIT REALLY TURN AROUND, BUT THIS IS NOT THE WA FOR IT TO HAPPEN. THERE NEEDS TO BE ACCOUNTABILITY.
