I live down the street from you and is having the same issue. I think we need to call the news and report it. This is just ridiculous we pay our taxes and can’t get any good service.

The City of Detroit DPW Street Maintenance Foreman Holmes have referred this service request to City Engineering. The reported sidewalk was repaired by Private Contractors. Our goal is to reduce inconveniences and promote safe travels within the City of Detroit. completed on 10/15/18

Sidewalk repairs and replacements are completed only at the time when the street is resurfaced, during construction season. Our goal at the DPW Street Maintenance Division is to is to maintain the City of Detroit's roadways in order to promote safe travels within the City.

Sidewalk repairs are completed only at the time the street is resurfaced! What does this mean? This was NOT a problem that was created by myself. This problem could have been corrected when the sidewalks, only one street over from me on Elmira, were done only a few days ago. Why are we being placed on hold until who knows when next year? When the snow falls I will not be able to clean my driveway so that I will be able to walk to my transportation to my doctors appointments, I use a cane. Not to say that I cannot even park there. If sidewalk crews are still doing sidewalks in the area, then why can't they be just directed to come by my home and do the repair? I understand the goal of DPW, but if you created an unsafe problem for my travel, then you should correct it. I know that concrete can be poured up until around November 16, depending on the weather. Please correct this problem before the snow falls, PLEASE.

This is horrible! The City Needs to take responsibility for the City Services that they are required to provide. If we start putting our tax dollars in escrow for city services not provided, Maybe this will create change and they will do their JOB!
