Charles, That pretty much sums it up. The city had used him previously and had a bad experience but he was the low bidder, so he got the job regardless. The public is now paying the price for a project that keeps on giving. It is my understanding if there are two contractors involved in those projects, they were staggered start dates, but the one was running so far behind that they ended up occurring at the same time.

then to add insult to injury, all of us that abutt kirkwood have been given violations stating that we have to maintain the CITY OF HOUSTON's property from our PROPERTY LINE to Kirkwood. Keep the grass mowed and trash picked up. Are you kidding me!?!?!?! This isn't even our property!!!!!!!! So does this mean when someone has an accident on the sidewalk I am now liable for this as well even though said event didn't even occur on my property!! wth is wrong with this city. Can I go ahead and move my fence to the street curb since I now am supposed to maintain you're property?

or treat it like Monty Python and charge a toll to cross the sidewalk from one end of my property to the next? yes, i think i'll do that to help pay for the maintenance since apparently our tax dollars are being used for some unmentionable slush fund.
