Streets Supervisor assigned this issue to New Westminster Parks

Also curious. I though New West was planning on planting a whole bunch of trees. Instead these ones are being cut down. And just east of here on Carnarvon west of 6th, the trees are dying and the irrigation has stopped working.

I'd also appreciate knowing why they were removed. Judging by the stumps, they appeared completely healthy.

The trees in question were removed because they were completely dead. They did not have irrigation and were stressed from being encased in paving. Thank you.

That being the case, is there any strategy to address those issues related to the remaining mature trees adjacent to these? eg. Removing/redesigning the pavement? Restoring irrigation?
