There is no electrical service along this section of Hillcrest Ave. Street lighting in this area would need to be part of a future capital improvement project.

The future is here! This is a road in the City of Huntsville that is dark with no street lights. The Mayor needs to get involved if this is a capital expenditure to put street lights on this road as many people in the Village of Providence now use this road to exit onto Hwy 72 to alleviate the wait time at Providence Main. If a person walks down this street at night to Hwy 72, they are taking their life in their own hands. Is this safe in the City of Huntsville? Thousands of people have populated this area in the last 8 years. The least the City could do would be to install street lights.

So the government is suppose to spend thousands and thousands of dollars so a few, very few, people who walk down this street can be "safer" at night? Rather than those few, very few, people investing in a few, very few, dollars of their own for reflective clothing and lights to make them visible to traffic?
