Its ridiculous, stop signs are not for income generation. They are supposed to improve safety for the community and that is not happening here. Not to mention (and Im not an eco-hippie) the extra gas it takes to brake and then accelerate for 100 feet before having to break again.

Okay, how does installing stop signs less than 100 yards from Baltimore Pike curtail speeding? They would have to slow down anyway. or end up in American Carpets store front (might actually improve their building). If speeding was the issue they would have installed them a half mile up the street. It makes no sense where they are now

The stop signs protect drivers making left turns off Kirk lane. the sight line to the left is short due to the curve . With drivers exceeding 35 there on top of you. riding up your bumper.
If the stop signs and speed limits were observed police would not need to be watching.

Stop signs and red lights contribute more to global warming than anything else. The fuel it takes to accelerate from 0-35 is substanitally greater than cruising at 35. Save the planet and remove unneccisary stop signs.

thank you not so Crazy Man. finally someone else is realizing that there is also a major ecological problem. and there is not enough traffic to warrant a stop sign for everyone at a low traffic intersection. Except at early morning rush hour, there are rarely more than 2 or 3 cars waiting on kirk. and I drive past multiple times every day at all hours. And when it is not rush hour......there is no traffic there. Im stopping for no reason.
