Thank you for reporting this to the City of Topeka. City staff will review the sidewalk and determine if there are portions of the sidewalk that are out of compliance with our current policy. As the abutting property owner is responsible for the upkeep and safety of their sidewalk, if a section is found to be out of compliance, the property owner will be notified.

We have investigated the sidewalk in question it is snow packed at this time we will continue to follow up with this as soon they remove their snow.

Our tech attempted to make contact with adjacent property owner without any success. Therefore, the tech left a door hanger advising property owner of damaged sidewalk. If property owner makes no contact with us and/or repairs the sidewalk. We will forward this issue to Code Enforcement. We are keeping this ticket open with us for 30 days.

The property owner has signed up to participate in our 50/50 Sidewalk Program. The program has stopped for this year. We will add her name to the list to repair for 2019. I am extending this ticket out until next spring.
