Thank you for submitting your tree concern to the Howard County Department of Public Works. Our staff will investigate this issue and respond.

Area was inspected recently and some trees were inside the county right of way and some trees were not. Elevation height appears to be ok at this time as far as vehicle clearance such as busses and plow trucks etc. As far as the bacterial leaf scorch concern, the county does not treat the pin oak trees for this issue. Vixens Path will be inspected again in the spring of 2019 to determine if any of the trees are dead or dying. In the event a county tree is in fact dead or dying we will mark the tree to be removed within 90 days and I will update in the comment section. Routine trimming will be done as scheduling allows. As of right now due to the back log an exact trim time can not be given.

Note that Pin Oaks along Vixens path continue to decline and more and more dead lower branches are falling onto the ground and onto the road, creating a hazard to passing vehicles. Request that that the county prune off these dead lower limbs to prevent this problem.
