One of the challenges the police department faces is the complaints on SCF can come in anonymously and not from the specific property owner where the car is. Any citizen can park in front of their own driveway. It is a violation to park in front of someone else's driveway. The police need to hear from a property owner that their driveway is blocked by someone who does not live at the property.
The police have acted in good faith in some SeeClickFix reports that a driveway was blocked only to find that they ticketed the resident of the address where the complaint was. If this is your house I recommend calling the police department at 658-2700 and speak with the Parking Manager John King or his representative to privately share your name and contact phone number. You can let them know the registered vehicles of residents of your property in the event this happens again.
If this is not your house the police are not going to take action on an anonymous driveway violation.
I hope this information helps.

thank you bill...I do know this, and only call parking in the day-time or SCF after hours if it is MY driveway and NOT my or the tenants vehicle.
I understand the dilemma however. thanks again.
