We could not agree more! This issue needs to be addressed! Perhaps DNR would be interested in the County’s lack of interest in the drainage issues on Mims Street! When we purchased our home adjacent to yours back in February 2001 there was a thriving tidal ditch that came and went with the tides and functioned wonderful! Since the homes were erected behind it and the ditch was partially filled it has been a mess and the County will not lift a finger! I have made calls and even spoken with friends who work in Chatham Govt who have tried to help and here we are... the capping of that ditch will not be good for you and it will certainly make issues worse for us as well especially now that the property beside it was allowed to elevate the ground to build on! Beyond Angry at this point!!! We must work together to insist that we are all protected and have a solution that protects all our properties!
