I am a new homeowner located at 910 Mims Street. I moved to this residence in February of 2018. I have 2 sump pumps in my yard that direct rain water under the paved roadway and into the drainage ditch.
I found today that the pipes that run under the roadway were capped, causing my pumps to run all day and water to back up into my yard. I was not aware that surrounding neighbors were having problems with this drainage ditch that was installed when Mims Street was paved.
Without proper drainage, my property is subject to flooding during moderate to heavy rainfall.
With that being said, this drainage ditch is causing problems for everyone surrounding it.
