yes, yes! there is a bus stop on both sides of Jackson near worden and it's treacherous to try and cross Jackson.

We were told that there would be pedestrian crossings when they repaved Jackson Rd several years ago and put in the center lane. Never happened.

The City’s Comprehensive Non-motorized Transportation Plan outlined the need for three pedestrian crossings between Maple Rd and the Dexter split. Because Jackson Ave is under Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) jurisdiction, MDOT must review and permit any facilities in their right of way. MDOT is evaluating the performance of the roadway since the four-lane to three-lane conversion prior to authorizing additional modification, such as pedestrian crosswalks. We do not have a certain timeline, but expect we will learn if we can proceed with installing pedestrian crossings when that evaluation is complete.

How many years does MDOT need to evaluate? Hopefully no one dies or gets injured.
